  1. I am curious what does everyone do while they are waiting for their planner to arrive? Maybe a podcast question..

    1. Go back 30 years ! And most probably decide what to fill it with... they came empty back then....

      But noted for a podcast....

    3. There was some talk about offering them empty again, but then we had the big re-organisation in the company and that was the last I heard of it :(

People don't seem to mind buying Van der Spek organisers empty. You can of course buy a set of inserts from them if you wish or source them elsewhere you have the choice. Plus you know the money you are paying has gone in to providing you with an organiser not a set of accessories you might never use.

    4. I am always "setting up" my planner "dry" - i.e. I think about the sections I need, punch some new paper and have everything on a little pile on my desk. When the planner arrives I just have to fill it. When I am waiting for a new diary I write the dates and tasks that have to go on on post its and then I put them in in preparation for the "proper" initial set up session once a year.

    5. It is unfamiliar to me for a few years because I am still using my Franklin pocket binder. I do not want the inserts or extra sheets because I design my weekly format and have enough paper. I removed the monthly dividers with tabs and shaded tabs on the pages. One worthwhile aspect of a binder without inserts is devising other ways.

    1. 5.5 mm which is the standard size I think.

  3. I got a punch for my new A5 (not the rapesco) and it doesn't have a guide for where to place the paper. I'm eye balling my it but that means my pages don't line up as well as I would like. Any tricks for dealing with this issue?

    1. Take the ruler or a page that is already punched, measure where it sits in your punch when you arrang the paper and attach a piece of string or stripe of cardboard at the side for measurement. Next time you can hold the paper to the point where the string ends.

    2. Like TinaKaren, I also measure a page that's already punched, but then use something like Tippex to make marks on the hole punch as my guide.
